Christmas is coming and so we are going to be experiencing as much British Columbia Christmas magic as possible in the coming weeks. First up, we are going to the West Coast Christmas Show this Saturday at Tradex in Abbotsford. The show is said to be the largest in the Lower Mainland and has 170 Artisans and over 300 participants.
Evey is counting down the hours until we go as she has been saving her money and has “Over $30 dollars so I have enough money to buy snacks and gifts for everyone” and she will have plenty to choose from. This year will see some fabulous exhibitors including, in no particular order:
Kindred Coast
I asked the Kindred Coast team to tell me a little bit about them:
“Our sustainable bamboo and organic cotton tees are all made in Canada, and hand screen printed by us on Saltspring Island. Our original designs are all hand-drawn by myself (Hannah) and feature local, outdoor themes, with positive messages. We have a few great puns on our tees (for those that love a good dad joke) and like to encourage our customers to get outside in our gear and experience this beautiful country that we live in.”
Eco Books For Kids
Eco Books 4 Kids creates fun, educational, Canadian-themed children’s books. With books about Canadian wildlife, Canadian Christmas and Canadian Monsters, there is a Canadian gift for every child on your list! Great for ages 0-8.
Cork Street
We just love cork products, so we decided to share it with the world! Cork Street works with major cork suppliers in Portugal to bring their best products into new markets. We hold our inventory in Canada to ensure fast shipping times using our fulfillment centers in both Toronto and Vancouver.
Buckets Of Fun
Buckets of Fun has a wide range of children’s products and this year at the West Coast Christmas Show we’ll be looking out for PALS mismatched socks and the Bath Squigglers.
Bowen Island Herb Salts
The Bowen Island Herb Salts team told me:
“At Bowen Island Herb Salts we take our garden and plants seriously. We make sure that our herbs enjoy the best growing conditions and care our little island in the Salish Sea has to offer. Only the finest leaves, sprigs, flowers, fruit and berries are hand-selected. The journey takes our harvest through a small batch sorting and drying process before they are teamed up with our purposely selected Mediterranean sea salts and international sugars, where they are transformed into our beautiful signature blends. Our high quality, handcrafted and organically grown herb salts, berry sugar, teas and mulled spice make attractive gifts for people who appreciate the unique flavour our products add to any meal.”
Glow Lanterns
Margaret from Glow Lanterns says”
“ Although flame candles look nice, I was always afraid of leaving them unattended so I decided my designs had to contain LED battery operated pillar candles. Fairy lights are a beautiful bright addition that adds sparkle to the inside of the lantern that complements the candle. I source my materials both locally and from abroad. Each lantern interior is hand-assembled by me, and each of my designs is based on floral and décor found in Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.”
Enchanted Cake Studio
When I asked the Enchanted Cake Studio team for info they shared this:
“Enchanted was founded by 3 ladies with a passion for creativity, love of baking and a dream to own a beautiful shop! Enchanted officially opened its doors on December 28, 2016 and since then have celebrated many weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, and birthdays with customers from around the world.
