For more than 14 million U.S. residents, motor-coaches are the only available mode of public intercity transportation service, going where air and rail cannot. In Disney World, modernized motor-coaches will soon improve the way individuals and families maneuver throughout the most magical place on earth.
According to WDW News Today, the Walt Disney World Resort just announced that they will replace the existing Disney Magical Express motor-coaches with brand-new buses that will feature a modernized and updated design.
The new Disney Magical Express will display the iconic “Disney” script and will match the look of the updated Disney Cruise Line motor-coach fleet. On the outside of the buses, some of the company’s favorites will be displayed, including: Pluto, Goofy, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and the original power couple: Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
The new vehicles are expected to debut at some point during the summer of 2018 and will be designed by Walt Disney Imagineering and the Magical Express team.
Additionally, according to Laughing Place, a feature has been added to My Disney Experience App that will include bus times.
The Bus Times feature will feature updated travel information, which will provide Disney guests with real time information about when the next bus is scheduled to arrive at their resort. Additionally, the new time feature will include estimated travel times to specific locations throughout Disney World. If a bus isn’t available at the current time, the app will now suggest other modes of transportation as well.
To bring users up to speed, Disney posted a step-by-step video — simply start by tapping “See Bus Times” when opening the app.
Later this summer, Disney will also release a new interactive app called the Play Disney Parks app, which will include trivia, games, and challenges to be used throughout the North American Disney Parks.
