With a family of 7 (almost 8!), there are so many conflicting schedules, trying to make a quick dinner at a time that’s good for everyone is virtually impossible. I am always trying to get a good, healthy meal cooked before some of the kids fill up on snacks or before others rush out of the door for an activity.

Even if you don’t have children, chances are standing in front of the stove at the end of the day is not something to which you’re looking forward. I like to make the most of our freezer to help us out with times like those, and you can too. From basic staples like sauces and beans to comforting soups and casseroles, cooking large batches of food ahead of time will save your time and your sanity.

You can dedicate a whole day to cooking up multiple recipes, or just double up each of these recipes the night you make it, and stash the second batch in the freezer. Doubling a recipe only takes a little extra prep time overall, but the results are oh so worth it!

Try some of these great freezer-worthy recipes. I’ve even included breakfast for your busy mornings.
