It was only a matter of time of course. The internet, bored with Instagram photos of hipsters brunches and cats on Sanpchat, has embraced a new marvel of the digital age – baby selfies. Myself, I avoid the camera almost as fervently as I avoid the scales, so these little ones are already way ahead of me.
So, for no reason other than that I thought they might brighten your day, enjoys babies taking selfies and wish you could look as good as they do.
You Think You Can Do Better? Really?
A future James Bond in the making? This little one is so smooth I bet his baby food doesn’t stick.
Wow, Is That Me?
This little fella didn’t realise he was so cute until he saw himself in a selfie.
Get It Away From Me
This is the face I pull when someone appears with a camera, so I can entirely relate to this newborn.
I Will Rule Instagram
Great, casual background, stylishly plain clothes, fabulous accessories, I give it a year before this little lady is the new Queen of Instagram. There will probably be a link to where to buy her soothers and clips.
Sleep While You Can
What a deliciously demonic expression. I can barely look at this photo without cracking up and imagining the Dr. Evil type phrases going through this lads mind. You can hear him now “Sleep while you can for I will be awake at 4 a.m. making inexplicable sounds and demanding something you can’t fathom.”
Oh, Is It On?
Somebody has been observing her mom, haven’t they?
From Newborn to 85
Have you ever seen a bay that looks more like a cross old man? Listen very carefully, and you can hear him grumbling about people today with their ‘phones and this strange obsession with taking photos of themselves.
The perfect pouty pose, or should that be potty?
What The Heck?
Another baby, another expression. This one looks somewhat startled; perhaps it is the sudden appearance of a baby looking down from the screen.
Kisses For You
Now, this baby boy is clearly sending his love out into the world, via the lens. He wants grandma and grandpa to know how much he thinks of them.
Practicing the long, slow, broody look, this tiny recipient of oh so expressive features holds a face that selfie veterans would give their left arm to pull off. As long as they weren’t left handed of course, then it would be their right hand because otherwise, how would they be able to hold their phones?
We end with this chilled and relaxed little one who just oozes tranquility. There must be something good in the milk he’s getting.
